San Sebastian, Spain, Day three
No rain in sight so we hit the beach. Started a bit cloudy, but within an hour or so it was perfect blue sky and warm sun shining down. Spent a few hours soaking up the sun before wandering along the next beach toward Mt Igeldo. There we got on a very steep cablecar to the top of Mt Igeldo. There is a ancient run down theme park there which has been there for a very long time. The views from the top were amazing. We walked down the mountain and had a look at some of the houses there. Not a bad spot to live, I must say!! Then we headed back to the old part of town. After our big walk we needed a beer, of course. Then we needed more beer and some tapas. The tapas in San Sebastian are soooo good. We really enjoyed walking past the many cafes and seeing all the tapas lined up on the counters. We could easily get used to tapas in the afternoon!
We watched the sun set between Isle Santa Clara and Monte Urgull. Just beautiful! We had a late dinner (normal in Spain though) and headed to the bus station to catch our overnight bus to Madrid. Adiós beautiful San Sebastian!
